The event will consist of parallel information sessions covering the
programme's themes and technical domains, concentrating on those open in
the call planned for 15 March. This call is the first to be based on the
updated, 1997 version of the work-programme. Information on other calls
planned for 1997.
The Information Day will gather potential proposers from all 18 European
Union and EEA member-states, plus Israel, and from other countries
associated with the programme. The participation of representatives from
SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) is particularly encouraged, and
representatives from Central and Eastern European, NIS and Mediterranean
countries will be extended a special welcome.
Attendees will be able to give a short presentation of their company or
institution to indicate the areas of the call which interest them or for
which they plan to make a proposal. One will also be able to attach a
one-page contact sheet or information note to a bulletin board.
Simultaneous interpretation will be available for the introductory plenary
sessions between English, French and German. In the parallel sessions,
where the working language will be English, assistance will be given
wherever possible to participants raising points or questions in other EU
languages.
