Windows based parallel computing
Dusseldorf, 10-02-1997 The European Commission has launched a new 2 Mecu project under the Esprit4 Framework for HPCN, called WINPAR. Within WINPAR, an integrated parallelsoftware development environment will be developed for networked personal computers running Windows NT . On top of PVM andMPI, existing tools like AUGUR, MODARCH, ParadiseC++, and TRAPPER will be enhanced and integrated. The 2 year project is coordinated by Genias Software.Other partners are Dash Associates, GMD, SIMULOG, Transvalor, and the Universitiesof Coimbra and Vienna.
