A new item in the Esprit HPCN Programme from the European Commision are the Technology Transfer Nodes (TTN). A TTN should coordinate a number of HPCN support actions, exploite the synergy and disseminate results to industry. TTN's can cover a region, application areas or industrial sections.
Although there were no specific deadlines for sending in proposals for a TTN, they are specific evaluation dates. The first series of proposals, some 30, were evaluated this Summer. The second and last series is currently under evaluation. The call was so successful, that, according to the Commission, there are now enough candidates. Hence no more proposals are accepted.
