TTN network web site renewed

Almere, 23 November 98 The web site of the Technology Transfer Network (TTNs) has been renewed. After being one year in existence, the TTNs that apply HPCN technology in industry have results in a number of industry sectors to show. Administering in total 175 projects, many more will follow in the coming two years. The new web site illustrates this with placing two success stories on the front page that will be renewed regularly. The first two deal with improvements in aluminium packaging from Spain, and with better baking biscuits from Finland. These are, however, not the only success stories of the TTN network.

After one year of operation, the HPCN TTN Network has started 175 projects covering a wide range of industrial sectors. The projects are aimed at raising awareness and promoting the use of HPCN technology in industry. These projects provide the material to be used for further awareness creation through demonstrations and dissemination of results, and feedback for the assessment of HPCN technology in the different industry sectors and market.

"Succes stories" is one of the menu items that can be selected on the front-page of the new TTN web site. Examples from most industrial sectors, such as transport, medical, and security, are already available.

The other single most important menu item is "Industry Groups". This gives an overview of the industrial sectors, like entertainment, transport, medical, etc., served by the TTN network and links to the web sites, a good choice when you want information on a specific sector.

The TTN web site can also be used to get more information on the TTN network, the 23 TTNs and the 175 projects. This is useful when you want to know for instance what is the closest TTN near you, or whether 3D-Heartview is an entertainment or a medical application. The TTN Network has two co-ordinators: ARTTIC and the Smith Group.

Because the web site is designed as a window on a database, nearly every item can be reached through the search facility. This works nice in many cases, but sometimes adding a list that can be scanned quickly would help the reader.

The web site is especially useful for technology industry analysts and consultants who are looking for advanced technology in their sector. With 175 demonstrations coming available in due time, it will become a valuable reference site.
