- 22-01-97Workshop on Exploitation of Multimedia Databases
- In the context of ESPRIT a workshop on exploitation of multimedia databases
is being organised on 13-14 March 1997 at the EC Joint Research Centre (JRC)
in Ispra, Italy.
- 22-01-97Esprit Information Day encourages SMEs
- Esprit, the European Union's programme of research, technological development
and take-up actions in information technology, is holding an Information
Day in Brussels on Monday 3 March , Brussels Congress Centre, 08:00 to 17:00.
The day is aimed at people intending to submit a proposal.
- 17-01-97Marine models using HPC compared
- At a MAST-II meeting in Barcelona last month, the results of a comparison
between marine models using HPC technology were discussed. The goal of the
conference was to exchange experiences, thus improving European originating
models in this field.
- 15-01-97CRITIKAL - adding value to the info assets of organisations
- Goal of the new Esprit funded project CRITIKAL is to demonstrate the potential
for adding value to the info assets of organisations in different sectors.
This by using effective client-server induction from large corporate data
warehouses. Partners in the project are Attar Software (UK), GEHE (D), Lloyds
TSB Group (UK), PAC (UK), University of Stuttgart (D).
