Intergraph offers new version of StudioZ for video production

New York, 07 November 97 Intergraph Computer Systems has developed a rackmount version of Intergraph's StudioZ for Softimage DS, the first certified platform for Softimage's new Softimage DS nonlinear video production system. Using the multiprocessor Intel/Windows NT-based StudioZ for Softimage DS, video production professionals can perform video capture, nonlinear editing, compositing, paint, audio editing and titling on a single rackmount system.

The new rackmount version of StudioZ for Softimage DS delivers uncompressed serial digital (D1/SDI) video in real time, enabling video output for professionals creating and finishing commercials, promos, trailers and all varieties of television and video production.

Intergraph and Softimage have teamed to deliver the new StudioZ for Softimage DS as an integrated, turnkey hardware/software system sold only through specially authorized Softimage DS resellers. The turnkey systems, which are also available in deskside versions, deliver a Windows NT-based nonlinear video production system for creating, editing and finishing videos.

Turnkey systems consisting of StudioZ for Softimage DS workstations in both rackmount or deskside configurations with Softimage DS software ship before December 29, 1997. The turnkey systems are available through certified Softimage DS resellers.
