VNI's JWAVE used in Aegis Discoverant

Boulder 02 Dec 99 Aegis Analytical Corp., a developer of Manufacturing Informatics software systems, has selected VNI JWAVE as the data visualization engine of its Discoverant product. Aegis also announced that Hoechst Marion Roussel, the pharmaceutical arm of Hoechst AG, has signed a contract to install Discoverant site-wide at the pharmaceutical giant's North American manufacturing facility in Kansas City.

Aegis Manufacturing Informatics software systems allow manufacturers to get higher product yield and quality out of their existing manufacturing plants and equipment by analyzing the large amounts of strategically important data they already gather and store in corporate databases.

Discoverant, Aegis' first product, is a client/server, domain-specific data mining and information discovery system that addresses a significant need for process improvement in regulated manufacturing operations. These manufacturers have unique needs for batch process data analysis. Such a requirement demands powerful statistical analysis, pattern recognition and data visualization capabilities, combined with interactive connectivity to several disparate manufacturing-related data sources. Discoverant's intuitive graphical user interface helps users turn raw manufacturing data into actionable information without the need for command line programming.
