ESI acquires Dynamic Software
Troy 27 Jan 00 ESI Group purchased Dynamic Software, a software editor well known for its stamping simulation product OPTRIS.
The acquisition of Dynamic Software meets ESI Group's global strategy. Both companies complement each other in terms of market, know-how, and customer installed base. This acquisition reinforces ESI Group unique position as a leading provider of a complete solution for simulating the stamping processes. In addition, it broadens ESI Group's capabilities in the promising market of tool design. Founded in 1990, Dynamic Software develops and markets OPTRIS, also called the "Virtual Press" a complete and highly accurate sheet metal forming simulation tool. OPTRIS clients include major car manufacturers such as Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Renault, and Subaru as well as many of their suppliers and subcontractors. The new product will be fully integrated in ESI Group suite of stamping products. This transaction is adding 18 new employees to ESI Group's 250 employees worldwide.
