Platform Computing' s LSF Suite is now fully optimized for Solaris 8, the newest version of Sun Microsystem's operating system. LSF is currently installed in some of the world's most demanding computing environments, from biotech research to mechanical design.
LSF is the key enabling technology in some of the world's largest 'superclusters' where 100s, even 1,000s of machines work in concert on some of the most advanced computing projects ever devised. Used in a wide range of vertical markets including automotive, computer design and semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, finance, government and biotechnology, LSF gives enterprises the ability to fully maximize the use of their technical resources -- including applications, operating systems and hardware -- at maximum capacity.

"Our customers are some of the largest and most demanding computing customers in the world. With our support for the Solaris 8 Operating Environment we are able to provide them with unprecedented new levels of interoperability, security, and standards-compliance," said Songnian Zhou, president and CEO, Platform Computing Corp.

LSF's support for the Solaris 8 Operating Environment also allows customers to take advantage of the product's increased capacity for network connections, ease of installation and administration, and optimal running of all Java(TM) applications.
