Tarantella for Caldera OpenLinux will be available in mid-2000.
SCO's cross-platform Tarantella software will deliver SuSE customers with browser access to Windows, Linux and UNIX applications across the Internet or intranets. Tarantella allows administrators to centrally deploy and manage server-based applications to virtually any client, anywhere in the world.
"We've recognized SuSE as a leading platform in the Linux space and believe their customers will find tremendous benefit from Tarantella," said Peter Bondar, vice president of Marketing for Tarantella. "The availability on SuSE Linux also significantly expands the reach of Tarantella to a whole new set of users. We're very excited about the prospects of co-marketing Tarantella with SuSE and look forward to bringing Tarantella into the Linux community."
"The addition of Tarantella to the SuSE Linux application portfolio will be a significant benefit to customers," said Dirk Hohndel, CTO, SuSE Linux AG. "Tarantella running on SuSE Linux servers delivers a powerful solution for businesses needing access to applications, and offers a cost-effective and functionally superior alternative to current methods."
