Motorola and Dolphin ink partnership agreement

Oslo 28 Jan 00 Motorola Computer Group, Inc. and Dolphin Interconnect Solutions, AS announced a partnership agreement today confirming Dolphin's position as one of the leading suppliers of network adapter cards for high-speed interconnectivity in VME and Compact PCI environments.

Dolphin is pleased to join Motorola's other leading vendors as a partner. "We believe that our membership into this elite group of Motorola partners indicates Dolphin's acceptance as a leading provider of high-speed adapters using Dolphin Technology," says Stephen Lang, Strategic Alliance Manager for Dolphin. Dolphin's PMC card's performance and low latency when used with Motorola's Compact PCI family of CPX 8000 chassis, VME chassis and carrier cards offer unparalleled performance at a truly competitive price.

Dolphin is a supplier to server and embedded solutions manufacturers with high speed PCI- and PMC-based network adapters for clustered server arrays and high-speed interconnections. "With the release of its PMC-based adapter card in the Fourth Quarter of 1999, a completely new area of business opportunities now face us," notes Lang.

Pat Darden, CEO of Dolphin, emphasizes the real world applicability of the product: "Speed and low latency are what is required in High Availability environments. We have Wideband Real Time interconnects with a myriad of High Availability features - and a very strong track record." These real world applications range from telecommunications switching and signal routing to aerospace design and military operations.
