CSC upgades T3E computer to 400 Gflop/s

Espoo 02 Feb 00 Finnish supercomputer centre CSC has upgraded its T3E supercomputer, doubling ithe performance to 400 Gflop/s. The machine has 544 processors running at 375 MHz. The machine was upgraded using a machine that was purchased from the French company CEA.

Each processor has 18 Mbyte of memory. The supercomputer is the most powerfull machine in the Nordic countires to date.
