CSCS Visiting Researcher Programme

Manno 23 Mar 00 Swiss supercomputer centre CSCS announced a Visiting Researcher Programme (VRP) offering possibilities to not only young students but also junior and senior researchers active in their field to broaden their horizons of knowledge and gain unique experience during their stay at CSCS.

The Programme will commence in July 2000 with a period of stay from a few weeks to a maximum of 4 months, during which the invited applicant is expected to carry out a specific project in close collaboration with CSCS staff. At the end of their stay at CSCS, all invited applicants are expected to summarize their achievements in a report and in the form of a formal presentation. Work of exceptionally high quality may be funded for possible presentation in conferences and/or publications.

The Programme is open to Swiss and foreign postgraduate students and researchers with background and research interests in Computational and/or Computer Sciences and Engineering. Undergraduate students of exceptional merit intending to pursue higher education in these areas may also apply. Applications will be screened to invite a limited number of
