Bayer installs 1.26 Tbyte Shark storage server

Boston 08 May 00 Bayer, one of the world's largest manufacturers of pharmaceuticals installed a 1.26 Tbyte IBM Shark and consolidate the data from its IBM RS/6000 and AS/400 servers into a cost-effective solution enabling applications on both servers to run faster and make management easier.

"The Shark ESS was the best choice by far," said Peter Flaherty, Bayer's Senior IT Manager. "The ESS has by far the best technology, and the best value of any storage system we evaluated."
