UK high-end computing

London 18 May 00 The UKHEC Collaboration gathers and spreads information on international developments in computer software and programming tools. This includes programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, Fortran95), software engineering and software Quality Assurance, data management, visualisation and Virtual Reality, and metacomputing. Funding is provided by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)

UKHEC involves staff from CLRC's Daresbury Laboratory, the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC) and the Manchester Research Centre for Computational Science (MRCCS).
