Bull to OEM 16-processor Azusa from NECParis 06 December 2000 NEC will deliver its 16-processor Azusa, which is Itanium based, to Bull that will package it with its own AIX5L operating system or Linux and sell it as part of its range of compute servers.
Bull will also put 64-bit Windows 2000 on the system.
The Azusa server employs a NEC developed chipset which provides optimum performance for the 16-processor Itanium based server.
