Open Source Linux development lab formed

Portland 09 September 2000 A non-profit Open Source Development Lab has been formed that for developers of Linux software with enterprise capabilities. The lab will be located near Portland, USA. Intel Corporation, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and NEC Corporation will be founders of the lab. Companies that are supporting it are Caldera Systems, Dell Computer, Linuxcare, LynuxWorks, Red Hat, Silicon Graphics, SuSE, TurboLinux, and VA Linux Systems

The lab will provide open source developers with an enterprise development environment for sharing development ideas and innovations. It will help accelerate existing or new projects developed by the open source community. More information on the web site: http://www.osdlab.org/.
