Scali SSP version 2.1 for Alpha with Linux

Oslo 06 October 2000 Scali has released version 2.1 of the Scali Software Platform (SSP). SSP is now available for the Alpha Platform running Red Hat Linux. Other new features include compatibility with MPICH and desk top support on non-Unix systems.

This release is the first to support 64-bit computing with Alpha Linux. ScaMPI is now MPICH header file compatible. Applications only need a relink to use ScaMPI.

The Scali desktop monitoring plug-in is improved with: a compact view, 2D history view, 3D bar view, and D history view. A Windows 98/2000/NT4.0 version of Scali Desktop is now available.
