EPPC TRACS visiting programme requests applications
Edinburgh 08 October 2000 Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC)
is co-ordinating an EC-funded project to bring European researchers
for short visits to associated departments in Edinburgh to collaborate
on projects involving High Performance Computing (HPC). The TRACS
programme is funded by the Commission of the European Communities. Next closing date for application is November 8.
TRACS provides: access to a wide range of HPC systems
including: Cray T3E (344 alpha processors); Cray J90 (10 processors); HPC cluster containing a 4-processor Sun E-3000, an 8-processor
Sun E-3500, and an 18-processor Sun HPC-6500 system; 48-processor system based on Sun's new UltraSPARC-III processor; and 16-processor Beowulf system.
It also offers training (, support and
consultancy on parallel computing and opportunities for collaboration with research groups in Edinburgh.
