As with SuSE Linux, the DB2 product family also supports a wide range of hardware. This combination is perfectly suited for data exchange between different platforms as well as for the implementation of very large databases on different hardware architectures.

The comprehensive scalability of DB2 Universal Database provides flexibility from small PC database to terabyte data warehouse. With its object relational extenders, DB2 can also support data types such as images, videos, audio files and text documents and has everything needed to allow easy integration with Internet applications.
