AXS Technologies provider of the EyeSpy Image Server gets U.S. $3.2 million in funding from Swiss-based HPI

Annapolis 16 November 2000 EyeSpy is the first digital imagery server to utilize parallel processing, offer multi-platform flexibility and operate in a pure HTML environment. EyeSpy also offers chacheability and is fully scalable. HPI has chosen to invest in AXS Technologies because they have developed and patented a brand new parallel processing technique that has far-reaching implications throughout business and government today and in the future.

Officially launched at Fall Internet World 2000 in New York City, the EyeSpy Image Server offered the media and conference attendees a firsthand glimpse of the increased delivery speed and clarity by which digital images may now be viewed online.

This round of funding will be used by AXS to add additional sales and marketing staff and bring its next product, MapPix, to market.

MapPix, expected to launch during the first half of 2001, enhances map delivery and user viewing interaction. MapPix provides significant increases in speed and comprehension when viewing georeferenced imagery, such as raster maps, aerial and satellite images, allowing individuals to zoom into images with never-before seen depth and clarity. When viewing maps enhanced with MapPix, users will be able to measure both distance and surface elevations, and even change the map scale. Applications for the software include defense and intelligence communities, economic development agencies and the mapping industry.
