MPI Software Technology released of MPI/Pro 1.6.3
Starkville 31 January 2001 MPI Software Technology released of MPI/Pro Version 1.6.3. MPI/Pro supports Linux for
TCP and VIA (Giganet only) networks and PowerPC, x86, and Alpha
processors. MPI/Pro Version 1.6.3 for Windows NT/2000 runs on TCP and
VIA (both Servernet II and Giganet) for x86 systems. Pre-release
versions of MPI/Pro Version 1.6.3 supporting Myrinet and Solaris are
also available.
Scyld support, including BProc, is also available in
pre-release form. MPI/Pro Version 1.6.3 also runs on Mercury Race
systems. Solaris and VxWorks front-end support for Mercury systems is
now in beta. Solaris host support, as well as NT front-end support,
will be available in the near future.
MPI/Pro Version 1.6.3 is internally threaded so that it is thread safe
at the user level. MPI/Pro has shown robustness running a variety of
long applications for days at a time. MSTI offers professional support
and maintenance to help customers get the most out of MPI/Pro.
Supported customers get free upgrades as new software versions are
released.
MPI-2 features such as dynamic process management and ROMIO support are
forthcoming. Totalview and Vampir support will also be available in the
next release.
