Seminar on the future of HPC on Windows.

Ithaca 06 March 2001 On March 22 the Cornell Theory Center Advanced Cluster Computing Consortium (AC3) annual meeting will be held at the World Trade Center, New York City. The seminar theme will be the "Future of High Performance Computing with Windows."

Kevin Libert, a director from Dell Computer's Enterprise Server Group, will open the event by discussing high performance cluster computing in the enterprise. George Spix, Director of Advanced Systems at Microsoft, will follow with Microsoft's new high performance computing initiatives. Microsoft recently developed a computational clustering technical preview toolkit with the software, tools, and libraries needed to build Windows clusters and applications.

Cluster technology roadmaps will be detailed by several industry leaders. Justin Rattner, Intel Fellow and Director of Intel's Microprocessor Technology Research Lab, will outline future IA-32 and IA-64 technologies. Microsoft's Edmund Muth will discuss clustering with .NET services and David Follett, Chief Technical Officer of Giganet, will present "Building Computing Clusters Over High Performance VI Networks."
