Metacomputing workshop in Stuttgart

The 4th HLRS Metacomputing Workshop will be organised together with the second
Metodis results workshop at Stuttgart. This allows to bring industrial partners and
researchers together at Stuttgart to exchange their point of view of
Metacomputing. Meeting dates: May 2 -4, 2001.
The
METODIS
workshop will present the work of the
METODIS
project (MEtacomputing TOols for DIstributed Systems) to a wider audience.
The European funded project aims at developing tools for Metacomputing and
at the same time introduce these tools in industrial environments of the
partners.
The 4th HLRS Metacomputing workshop will bring together experts
from Europe, Japan and the US to discuss current topics of Metacomputing.
In the last three years the HLRS Metacomputing workshop has been an
opportunity to exchange thoughts and information between researchers of
the main fields involved in Metacomputing. In addition HLRS has
emphasised its role as a partner of industry bringing together problems
from industrial development and solutions from computer science.
