French Grid initativeParis 14 May 2001 The French Ministery of Research has started a Grid initative. It is a concerted action, aimed at stimulating developments in this area. This action is called GRID (Globalisation des Resources Informatiques et des Donnees). For proposals submitted in 2001, the French governement has allocated 15 million French Francs. Probably the programme will be continued next year.
