The Peer-to-Peer Working Group meetsSanta Clara 14 May 2001 The Peer-to-Peer Working Group (P2PWG), created for the advancement and interoperability of peer-to-peer computing, will be holding its third working group meeting on May 30th and 31st, 2001 at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara,
The two-day event will be packed with activities ranging from speaker
presentations and real-time demos to working group sessions focused on security,
firewalls and peer-to-peer glossary.
"The P2PWG event is about meeting new people, sharing best practices in peer
computing and determining what the next hot issue will be in P2P," explains
Brian Morrow, President of Endeavors Technology and chair of the Peer-to-Peer
Working Group. "We're excited to have Andrea Williams Rice, managing director
and analyst at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown and Alex Veytsel, research associate and
analyst of the Aberdeen Group, here to present their research findings and
insight on P2P computing."
Members and non-members are encouraged to attend the third Peer-to-Peer Working
Group Demo Showcase and Meeting in Santa Clara, California, May 30th and 31st.

The Peer-to-Peer Working Group (P2PWG) was created to facilitate and accelerate
the advancement of peer-to-peer computing and the peer-to-peer community
at-large. The purpose of the P2PWG is to develop best practices that enable
interoperability among peer-to-peer applications.
