SAS ships LSF Job Scheduler for distributed data warehousing
Cary 14 August 2001 SAS Institute has begun shipping Platform Computing's LSF Job Scheduler with SAS/Warehouse Administrator's software Release 2.2. The solution makes it possible to schedule, analyze and monitor steps of distributed application workloads across the enterprise.
The integration agreement, originally announced in March, introduces distributed resource management (DRM) to data warehousing. The announcement was made at the Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) World Conference in Anaheim, USA.
Within 120 days, the company has fully integrated an industry leading scheduling package into the SAS system and offer automatic load balancing across heterogeneous nodes to the SAS data warehousing solution.
