SARA offers small Virtual Reality server
Amsterdam 13 September 2001 The SARA VR-Server is a high quality Virtual Reality platform with active stereo vision and head/hand-tracking. The system enables full blown Virtual Reality for in-house VR needs, at any location, and is also suited for trade-show presentations. SARA's Virtual Reality expertise covers a wide field of application areas including architecture, engineering, biotechnology and medicine.
The VR-Server offers top of the line performance and includes the following specifications:
- Dedicated Virtual Reality Server for driving a single screen VR setup
- Mobile setup in a 19 inch flight case of 9 HE
- Active Stereo projection for high quality stereo vision

The VR-Server is compatible with displays such as a CRT monitor, a CRT projector with back-projection, or an ImmersaDesk mobile back-projection unit with integrated tracking.
The system also features a range of useful options, including SARASIM Virtual Reality software, a modular script-based approach to Virtual Reality using the Python scripting language, datagloves, Extra CrystalEyes stereo glasses, and extra tracking sensors.
