Under the terms of the partnership, the two companies have integrated their
flagship products, Firstlogic's Information Quality Suite-which helps
organizations create a powerful, single view of the customer by cleansing,
enhancing, and matching customer and business informationand
Torrent's Orchestrate a
component-based framework for building and deploying scalable,
high-performance data warehousing and business intelligence applications.
Firstlogic has developed "Torrent Information Quality Operators,"
components that run inside the Torrent Orchestrate framework. Torrent IQ
Operators enable customer and business information cleansing, as well as data
matching and consolidation, to be processed in parallel on multiple
processors. Parallel processing via Orchestrate allows data to be processed
over multiple CPUs without changing a line of code. Thus, linear scalability
in processing speed can be achieved by simply adding CPUs. The integrated solution provides customers with accurate address, name and
firm cleansing capabilities coupled with powerful record matching and
consolidation in a parallel, scalable multiprocessing environment. This
enables enterprise environments to realize a tremendous return on investment
from their processes to correct and match unprecedented volumes of
