Heidelberg Supercomputer conference programme available

Heidelberg 01 February 2002 The programme from Europe's main supercomputer event, the International Supercomputer Conference 2002, that will be held in June in the German town of Heidelberg, is available. Keynote will be delivered by Monika Henzinger from Google, with a presentation called" Indexing the Web: A Challenge for Supercomputing". Main conference topics are Grid computing, petaflop/s computing and supercomputing centres. A pre-conference one-day tutorial provides an overview of the current state of Grid computing.

Of course, also the new TOP500 list will be presented in Heidelberg.

The conference also has an exhibition where vendors and supercomputer centres will show vase the newest supercomputing and Grid technology. A separate conference session with vendor presentation, offers the companies a forum for new developments and announcements.
