Hewlett-Packard and Porsche cooperate in CAD support
Weissach, 23-05-1997 Hewlett-Packard and Porsche will combine their experience with the implementation of the CAD system CATIA V4 on multiplatform systems, and make it available to the German automobile industry. They will implement a support office in Weissach.
The know-how offered includes application of the software, design of the IT infrastructure, selection of the hardware and operating systems. The centre has a HP 9000/800 server and workstations. The computer systems of the Porsche development centre can be used as large servers. Weissach cooperates with a large Hewlett-Packard CATIA Technical Competence Center in Paris.
