nCUBE and DemandVideo Form Partnership

San Francisco 20 Jul 99 nCUBE, formed a partnership with DemandVideo to provide reliable, high-throughput digital video to new broadband network operators nationwide. Under a formal partnership agreement, the two companies will share technical expertise and nCUBE will provide video servers for DemandVideo's video services.

nCUBE servers are capable of delivering 5,120 simultaneous 3 Mbps (Megabits Per Second) video streams. The current nCUBE servers can deliver up to 20,000 simultaneous and independent MPEG video streams in a single footprint.

The OVS software is designed to allow customers to store, manage and deliver full-motion, full-screen video and high fidelity audio to PCs, network computers, workstations and set-top boxes over a variety of networks.

Through a remote navigator with VCR-like functions, DemandVideo offers a 24x7 interactive video store designed for prompt access to an extensive selection of in-home titles. In addition, the company is capable of customizing content as well as back office and billing solutions for new network operators.
