New Intergraph workstations

Huntsville 26 Oct 99 Intergraph Computer Systems announced support for Intel 's Pentium III and Pentium III Xeon 733 MHz processors with 133 MHz front side bus (FSB) technology in follow-on models of the Zx ViZual Workstation family. These higher performing workstations will be launched delivering 64-bit PCI technology. In addition, Intergraph also announced its Zx1 ViZual Workstation powered by Intel's Pentium III 700 MHz processor with 100 MHz FSB technology.

Future ZX ViZual Workstation models are armed with Intergraph's Wahoo technology and powered by Intel's fastest Pentium III and Xeon processors to provide the highest-performing platform ever for creative and technical professionals in the digital media, publishing and prepress, MCAD, and visual simulation markets. The first models of the Wahoo technology-based ZX ViZual Workstation, will deliver more than twice the system throughput of currently available systems with generic systems architectures. The new ZX workstations will enable real-time performance for professional applications that require huge data transfers, such as multistream high-definition digital video, high-resolution 3D animation, FEA and CFD analyses for MCAD and large-scale terrain databases for visual simulations.
