ChinaGrid 2010 will be a stimulating forum for researchers and practitioners in related fields, where people get together to exchange ideas, experiences, and up-to-date Grid technological advances as well as its application in ChinaGrid Project. Students will learn to use high-throughput computing systems - at their own campuses or using the national Open Science Grid - to run large-scale computing applications that are at the heart of today's cutting-edge science. The purpose of DCNET 2010 is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested on communication networking between computer systems or other digital devices. Euro-Par is an annual series of international conferences dedicated to the promotion and advancement of all aspects of parallel computing and distributing computing. The major themes can be divided into the broad categories of hardware, software, algorithms and applications for parallel and distributed computing. The objective of Euro-Par is to provide a forum for the promotion of parallel and distributed computing both as an industrial technique and an academic discipline, extending the frontier of both the state of the art and the state of the practice.

The objective of this workshop is to share information about BOINC and projects using it, through short presentations and informal discussions, in a relaxed, open and friendly atmosphere. The workshop aims to stimulate new developments and activities related to volunteer computing, and to guide the future development of BOINC.

The London Citizen Cyberscience Summit is a great chance for scientists and citizens to learn about the latest breakthroughs in citizen cyberscience. It will be a unique opportunity to brainstorm about how new technologies can enhance citizen cyberscience. A bold ambition of the summit is to draft a citizen cyberscience manifesto, involving all the stakeholders in the field.

The school co-operates with the Helmholtz Alliance 'Physics on the Terascale'. In addition, it is associated with EGI/NGI. GridKa School offers a broad range of topics, which are chosen from the realm of these projects and beyond. Because of its parallel hands-on sessions, GridKa School targets different groups of people involved in Grid computing: Grid novices, advanced users and administrators, scientists and other users of Grid, and graduate students, PhD students and post-docs involved in Grid computing.

The European Grid Initiative (EGI) Design Study represents an effort to establish a sustainable grid infrastructure in Europe. The e-Infrastructure Reflection Group organises workshops twice a year in collaboration with the country holding the European Union presidency. Workshops are open to all, and function as incubators for feeding new information and trends into the e-IRG plenum work.

The International Conferences on Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) are a major series of international conferences for physicists and computing professionals from the high energy and nuclear physics community, computer science, and information technology. The event is organized by the Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute in collaboration with the Portuguese Bioinformatics Network and hosted by the University of Malaga, Spain. As is the annual custom, this user conference provides you with a forum for the latest developments in network technology and related applications and services for research, education and government. This year the BELNET Networking Conference will be presenting even more visions on and trends in ICT management in higher education and research. Of course, innovations in BELNET services will also be addressed. As was the case in the previous editions, BELNET is offering a number of its member institutions a platform to share their acquired expertise with other users of the research network.

This conference and workshop series, steered by the Cloud Computing Association, aims to bring together researchers who work on Cloud computing and related technologies. Conference keynotes will be presented by Ian T. Foster, distinguished fellow and associate division director in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory and by Kai Hwang, professor of electrical engineering and computer science and director of the Internet and Grid Computing Laboratory at the University of California.

MapReduce is a programming model, introduced by Google in 2004, to simplify distributed processing of large datasets on clusters of commodity computers. Currently, there exist several open-source implementations including Hadoop. MapReduce became the model of choice for many web enterprises, very often being the enabler for cloud services. Recently, it also gained significant attention in scientific community for parallel data analysis e.g. Rhipe. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss both theoretical and practical advances in MapReduce (or similar systems), identify open issues, present new related tools and report on scientific or industrial applications.

This conference invites presentations containing computational or financial econometric components. Computational and financial econometrics comprise a broad field that has clearly interested a wide variety of researchers in economics, finance, statistics, mathematics and computing. Examples include financial time series analyses that focus on efficient and robust portfolio allocations over time, asset valuations with emphases on option pricing, volatility measurements, models of market microstructure effects and credit risk. While such studies are often theoretical, they can also have a strong empirical element measuring risk and return and often have a significant computational aspect dealing with issues like high-dimensionality and large numbers of observations. Algorithmic developments are also of interest since existing algorithms often do not utilize the best computational techniques for efficiency, stability, or conditioning. So also are developments of environments for conducting econometrics, which are inherently computer based. Integrated econometrics packages have grown well over the years, but still have much room for development.

The aim of this tutorial is to prepare system administrators on the installation of Grid sites and actually put together those facilities to increase the size of the CHAIN/EUMEDGRID-Support infrastructures. The first days will be dedicated to the gLite middleware, services installation and configuration. The second part will be dedicated to have the participants install sites, remotely (from the tutorial), at their home institutions.

The Grid School aims at increasing the number of scientific/industrial applications running on the CHAIN/EUMEDGRID-Support production infrastructure. The School also aims at bringing new research groups to use the CHAIN/EUMEDGRID-Support resources as well as to diversity the application domains and scientific communities.

Parallel, Distributed, and Network-Based Processing has undergone impressive change over recent years. New architectures and applications have rapidly become the central focus of the discipline. These changes are often a result of cross-fertilisation of parallel and distributed technologies with other rapidly evolving technologies such as telecommunications and multimedia. It is of paramount importance to review and assess these new developments in comparison with recent research achievements in the well-established areas of parallel and distributed computing, from industry and the scientific community.

In the past 3 years, ISGC has been attracting more than 200-220 participants from more than 20-24 countries from worldwide and more than 12-14 Asian countries. ISGC also hosted Asia@home workshops in 2009 and 2010.

DEISA, the Distributed European Infrastructure for Supercomputing Applications, and PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, for the third time will merge their annual science symposia into one big European HPC event. The event is of major interest to a broad audience: computational scientists, HPC technology experts, government representatives, vendors, and industry partners.

The conference will consider mathematical, computer science and engineering developments that impact on the use of HPC in engineering analysis, design, and simulation.
