Swissray Inc.'s ddR systems, with direct digital image capture and easy network interface, will enable DIANAssociates to efficiently capture high quality radiographs and electronically transport these images to a centralised interpretation facility at the University of Maryland. Using this new technology, DIANAssociates shortens results reporting from three days to just one hour and also provides its customers with an efficient, remote application specific Patient Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Leonard J. Benyak, DIANAssociates President and Co-Founder, commented: "After considering many providers, we selected Swissray because they demonstrated the best image quality, deploy the best plan for a nationwide integration and provide the closest match to our contractual networking requirements. Plus, their extensive experience in providing clinically proven ddR solutions constituted a decisive factor."
John S. Bremer, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of DIANAssociates, added: "We provide turnkey patient-to-result health care rapidly and more cost effectively than traditional methodologies, with little or no growth in our client's infrastructure. For the high impact, profiled programmes, Swissray became the logical choice to meet our needs."
Ruedi G. Laupper, Swissray Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer commented: "It is gratifying to observe the performance capabilities of Swissray ddR so efficiently deployed in this project. ddR based radiographic imaging can solve long standing clinical, economic, and service challenges for health care providers and DIANAssociates is showing how readily these benefits can be achieved with a complete system solution."
This multiple system purchase includes orders for Swissray's newest ddR system, the ddRModulaire. Altogether, Swissray has now received orders for 114 multi-functional ddR systems since receiving FDA clearance 36 months ago. Swissray designs, manufactures and markets proprietary state of the art direct digital Radiography ddR technology. This new technology provides high quality radiographic images in just seconds and at a lower cost than conventional radiography because, among other factors, film and chemical processing are not required.
