Sunquest to continually promote multi-featured CoPathPlus Anatomic Pathology programme

Tucson 25 October 2001Sunquest Information Systems Inc., a supplier of clinical data management and a business unit of Misys Healthcare Systems, continues the success of its CoPathPlus Anatomic Pathology programme. In accordance with a Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement with Dynamic Healthcare Technologies (DHT) Inc., Sunquest markets and provides support services for CoPathPlus to Sunquest customers and is currently integrating the system with its FlexiLab Laboratory Information System (LIS). During the third quarter of 2001, 20 health care institutions signed contracts with Sunquest to implement CoPathPlus.

In addition, Sunquest announced that the planned acquisition of DHT by Cerner Corporation has no material impact on Sunquest's value-added CoPathPlus solution nor its ability to market, implement, support, or enhance the software. Driven by customer and market requirements, Sunquest will continue to deliver and maintain its CoPathPlus-based anatomic pathology-lab solution, independent of Cerner or DHT.

An industry-recognised anatomic pathology information system, CoPathPlus is designed for the unique work flow of the anatomic pathology department, providing a comprehensive display of patient and specimen information in a variety of report formats. An integrated report writer enables users to create their own ad hoc reports or select from the management report options built into the system.
