CareCentric to launch new Visit Assistant point-of-care PDA software for home health agencies

Atlanta 12 October 2001CareCentric Inc., a provider of management information systems to the home health care community, has released its Visit Assistant, a cost-effective, automated point-of-care solution for home health agencies. Using personal digital assistant (PDA) technology from Golden Rule Software Inc., the Visit Assistant is the latest in CareCentric's line of mobile computing software designed to help agencies achieve their potential.


CareCentric finalised an agreement with Golden Rule Software Inc. to provide the core foundation for the Visit Assistant application. CareCentric enhancements will provide additional unique feature functionality, including data integration, to their home health billing and operation systems, pay-roll management, supplies tracking, mileage and miscellaneous expenses. Currently, Visit Assistant provides electronic point-of-care data collection of OASIS, full assessment capability, automated 485s, and visit notes in the field.

The Visit Assistant application requires minimal implementation and training and offers value priced software and hardware for agencies requiring basic visit documentation. CareCentric point-of-care solutions include Smart ClipBoard, an advanced patient management system which enables the clinician to define processes, document and manage the delivery of care from any location and Outcomes Planner System, a disease-specific, clinical pathway documentation package.
