Crozer-Keystone Health System signs pact with Sunquest to deliver Laboratory Information System
Tucson 14 November 2001Sunquest Information Systems Inc. has signed a major contract with
Pennsylvania-based Crozer-Keystone Health System for the purchase of the
Sunquest FlexiLab Laboratory Information System (LIS). Designed as a
comprehensive, high-performance laboratory information system that manages
specimen data from requisition entry to production of the final cumulative
report, Sunquest's LIS allows any user to virtually customise a laboratory
system.

Sunquest's LIS integrates information and images into one easy-to-use, easy-to-access electronic source that consists of many different components, including:
- Microbiology, which is a feature-rich, intuitive test ordering and results
reporting application.
- Lab Access Results, which is a scalable, Windows based, and user-customisable patient specimen testing module that incorporates rule-based logic, colour display, and a tool bar for easy function navigation.
- Ad Hoc Report Writer, which produces presentation-quality output and
seamlessly integrates data from other commonly used database applications while
saving time associated with report design scheduling and distribution.
- Outreach, which meets the expanding needs of hospitals entering into
service contracts with physicians, clinics, and managed care organisations.
Capabilities include standing order entry; rapid order entry; duplicate
data entry; full client database; courier route management; client calls;
requisition based reports; requisition (number) printing and fax on demand. Several other Sunquest products sold to Crozer-Keystone, are the Inquiry
User; Electronic Computer Interfaces; Instrument Interfaces; SMART and
additional Live Support.
