Bon Secours Healthpartners Laboratories to expand number of Misys Clinical Suite systems

Tucson 04 April 2002Misys Healthcare Systems, formerly Sunquest Information Systems Inc., an expert in health care IT, has signed a substantial agreement with Bon Secours Healthpartners Laboratories, located in central Virginia. The expanded pact builds upon an existing relationship and will double the number of Bon Secours laboratories supported by their Misys Laboratory system in central Virginia. The contract includes the addition of CoPathPlus anatomic pathology and Misys Clinical Financial systems. The collective Misys clinical product suite will streamline laboratory processes while efficiently managing all laboratory business activities.

Bon Secours Healthpartners Laboratories (BSHPL) is a full-service, nationally accredited laboratory conducting 6.1 million discrete tests per year. BSHPL is known for its advanced technology, round-the-clock operation, and extensive test menu including advanced breast cancer testing of hormone receptors and HER-2. Results of these tests indicate how patients can benefit from the latest breakthrough treatments for breast cancer. Bon Secours is the only local laboratory system in the Richmond, Virginia area with a large outreach base, serving nursing homes, physician practices, and other hospitals.
