Cardnet, the Italian Cardiology Network to use E-Ceptionist

Milan 29 May 2003Cardnet, the Italian Cardiology Hospital Network, will begin using the E-Ceptionist Internet-based case management and appointment scheduling system. The Milan, Italy company will be supported by E-Ceptionist's Italian customer TelBios S.p.A.


E-Ceptionist allows the Cardnet Cardiology Hospital Network of twelve cardiology and cardio-surgery hospitals in the Lombardia region and one hospital in the Valle d'Aosta region of Italy to schedule cardiology consultations and manage the transfer of electronic patient records.

"E-Ceptionist allows TelBios to provide Cardnet with advanced cardiology services for the people of the Lombardia and Valle d'Aosta regions of Italy where such services were previous unavailable", stated Mr. Fabio Duchini, Marketing Manager of TelBios. Cardnet is a cardiology and cardio-surgery network comprised of twelve hospitals in the Lombardia and Valle d'Aosta regions of Italy. Headquartered in Milan, Cardnet's network includes cardiology and cardio-surgery centres in the Italian cities of Milan, Pavia, Mantova, Brescia, Lecco and Cremona.

E-Ceptionist Inc. is a privately held company located in Houston, Texas. The company owns and licenses the E-Ceptionist software. The service allows users to schedule appointments in real time over the Internet as well as to create an electronic patient record, complete with medical images. The service is secure and encrypted and the privacy of patient information is protected. E-Ceptionist Inc. provides service in multiple languages to customers throughout the world.

E-Ceptionist's customers include WellPoint Health Networks Inc. on behalf of its affiliate, Blue Cross of California; the United States Military's TRICARE network; the High Plains Rural Health Network based in Colorado; Vitao Denmark A/S; tds (Dermatology) Limited in the United Kingdom; TelBios S.p.A. based in Milan, Italy; the Italian Ministry of Defence; the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust; and OnSight Care Inc. based in Florida.
