MDanywhere Technologies introduces new MDAOrbit medical practice management system

Baltimore 14 September 2005MDanywhere Technologies Inc., an award winning medical software development company and a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Emerging Technology Incubator, announces the release of their new Medical Practice Management System MDAOrbit. This new fully integrated clinical software system includes the most up-to-date technologies and tools for the delivery of health services by physicians, at the point-of-care.

MDAOrbit includes special features and functions such as the "patient portal" whereby the patients can complete documentation and medical information over the Internet. They can also request prescription renewals, appointments, ask questions and they can download medical education and information provided by their physicians while at home.

For the physician, MDAOrbit includes the clinical electronic patient record ActiveEPR. This electronic record features electronic prescribing via MDAScript and the "encounter capture" system that simplifies recordkeeping and claims processing for the physician's office.

Mobile tools for the physician are also available, such as the m-Rx prescription writer, the m-Charge charge capture, and the m-Notes and m-Census physician rounding tools. This new product was designed to meet or exceed all current and proposed standards for electronic prescribing and electronic medical records to date.
