TouchScript offers physicians a fast, safe and reliable solution for writing electronic prescriptions. With more than 180 employer-sponsored on-site health centres throughout the country, CHD Meridian physicians will be able to provide accurate, point-of-care medication dispensing to their patients. TouchScript enables physicians to write and fill prescriptions for the industry's top 50-100 drugs during the patient visit. It not only simplifies and streamlines the prescribing process, but also helps physicians enhance patient safety, reduce pharmacy callbacks and improve health centre efficiency. Additionally, by filling prescriptions on-site, the need for employees to travel to a pharmacy and wait for their prescription to be filled is eliminated, providing greater convenience to the employee while increasing productivity for their employers.

"We are committed to providing employers with the full-service health care solutions to enable them to offer their employees better quality care and reduce health care costs", stated Frank A. Martin, chairman of I-trax. "Allscripts e-prescribing solution offers employers an alternative to opening a full-service pharmacy while still reaping the benefits of our pharmacy care management services. Working together with Allscripts and utilizing the latest software and connectivity technology, we believe we can transform employer-sponsored health care and improve patient outcomes."

"Today's health care costs and the rate at which they are increasing represents one of the most important competitive challenges that leading United States based companies are facing today. We believe that the CHD Meridian model represents a cost-effective solution for employers and is a key part of the future of health care in this country", stated Glen Tullman, chief executive officer at Allscripts. "CHD Meridian's approach to providing employers with a comprehensive, integrated and individualized health and productivity management solution through its on-site centres and pro-active disease management and wellness services is a trend that is taking hold in the health care industry as one of the only effective ways to improve health and lower the cost of care. We are excited to begin working together with CHD Meridian to help make a meaningful change in how patient care is delivered."

CHD Meridian and Allscripts will begin offering the TouchScript solution to the CHD Meridian health centres in the first quarter of 2006.
