Caligari announces new truePlay promotion

Mountain View 01 June 2006Caligari Corporation, an award-winning producer of 3D modelling and animation software, is offering anyone who downloads Caligari's truePlay, a free web Player for sharing interactive 3D objects, a $200 discount on the regular purchase price of Caligari's powerful suite of collaborative design tools, which includes trueSpace7.1 and the Conversion Pack 2.1.

The new offer is designed to promote Caligari's truePlay, the world's first 3D Player to enable multiple participants to collaborate in real-time over the Internet. With truePlay, users in distributed locations can share 3D content with each other, communicate ideas with complete visual realism or collaborate on work with other truePlay or trueSpace7 users in an on-line 3D shared space.

By downloading and registering their copy of truePlay, users will be eligible for a discount of $200 on the combination of Caligari's trueSpace7.1 and the Conversion Pak 2.1. trueSpace7.1 is the ideal 3D authoring programme for users requiring robust modelling and rendering capabilities. Its intuitive interface and extensive toolset let users craft realistic 3D designs with speed and accuracy.

Caligari's Conversion Pak 2.1 simplifies the import and export of CAD/CAM drawings to and from trueSpace7 without losing any of the details and specifications of those drawings. The Conversion Pak 2.1 supports the DirectX model format which is widely used by many game development packages and real-time rendering engines. It also supports the DWG format which gives users the ability to work directly with files from AutoCAD. In addition, the Conversion Pak 2.1 can import and export to other commonly used file formats, such as STL, IGES, SAT, VET and Shockwave 3D.

Caligari Corporation was founded in 1986. Over the last 20 years, the company has led the market with major innovations in 3D authoring for interactive graphic design, product design and multimedia.
