Wilkes Regional Medical Center licenses SafeTrace Tx transfusion management system from Wyndgate Technologies

Denver 28 September 2006Wilkes Regional Medical Center in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, has licensed SafeTrace Tx transfusion management system, developed by Wyndgate Technologies, a division of Global Med Technologies Inc. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Wilkes Regional Medical Center purchased SafeTrace Tx in conjunction with Affinity Lab, which is the Laboratory Information System (LIS) offered by QuadraMed Corporation. QuadraMed, a Wyndgate channel partner, offers SafeTrace Tx as the blood bank solution for its LIS. SafeTrace Tx will enable QuadraMed, who is implementing several products in multiple departments at Wilkes Regional, to integrate the medical centre's transfusion service into a comprehensive Electronic Health Record solution.

The SafeTrace Tx system will allow us to include our transfusion service as we establish electronic records throughout the medical centre", stated Pat Cashwell, Lab Manager at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
